Location
Join this off-road 4WD adventure in Port Stephens and enjoy endless hours of fun sandboarding down the Stockton Sand Dunes. Meet at Birubi Beach and travel in off-road vehicles along the 32 km stretch of beach to admire the impressive dunes that can reach 30 metres high. When you arrive, standby for a sandboarding lesson and learn the basics before you begin the climb to the top of the dunes. Take a moment to catch your breath and admire the impressive views and then jump on your board and zoom down the dunes as many times as you wish. This simple activity is easy for anyone to master and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. The tour includes unlimited sandboarding and helpful staff are always nearby to assist you if needed. Regular shuttles run to and from Birubi Beach to the sand dunes every 30 minutes between 10am and 3.30pm. Simply catch the next shuttle back to Birubi Beach when you are finished.
Inclusions
- Departing from Birubi Beach on a custom-built off-road vehicle enjoy the bumpy journey to the sandboarding location
- Climb to the top of the dunes, jump on your board, slide on down and repeat as many times as you can handle
- Your pass offers unlimited sandboarding, stay and play as long as you like. For most people, this is about 1 to 1.5 hours
- Knowledgeable and experienced staff will teach how to use the board correctly to ensure your safety
- Once you're finished sandboarding jump back aboard the 4WD buses to be taken back to the Birubi Beach starting point

- The first bus leaves at 10am with shuttles leaving every half an hour until 3.30pm. If a session you are wanting to book is not listed, please call us on 1300 935 532
- Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the departure time on the day of your booking. We cannot guarantee the bus will be able to wait for you if you are late
- Open 365 days a year, even Christmas Day

What To Bring
- A bottle of water
- Sun protection, this including sunscreen and a hat
- A pair of socks as the sand can get very hot
- Camera
- A light jacket
Additional Information
- Child ages are 0-14yrs
- Relaxed comfortable clothes, shoes can be anything as they will be removed it's easier to climb the sandboarding hill bare foot
- For kids, swimming goggles are often handy to stop sand from blowing to their eyes (Not a must but if you have some they might come in handy!)
- Waiver form MUST be filled out prior to departure
- Standing on sandboards is allowed, however, a health and safety waiver must be signed
- The last bus of the day will only have 1 hour duration of sandboarding available due to daylight restrictions and needing to vacate the hill while in daylight

7 months agoFun activity for all ages with friendly staff at a beautiful location
Sandboarding was a wonderful experience. Finding the meeting location on the day was straightforward. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful. The 4WD bus trip through the sand dunes from the initial meeting location to the sandboarding location and back was fun. The weather was good - it was a nice clear day on the beautiful sand dunes. Sandboarding itself was a safe, easy and fun activity for all ages. You can choose to sandboard from a lower or higher point on the sand dunes for an easier or a more exciting experience depending on your preference. You can sandboard at your own pace and you can sandboard as often as you like while you are there.
3 years agoThe purchase and booking process was simply and easy
The purchase and booking process was simply and easy. Excellent service staff really went above and beyond very impressed with the level of service. Buses are driving you to the sand dunes whenever you like. The sandboarding is fun - but a bit exhausting, too, since you need to climb up the hill. Apart from the actual sandboarding, you are in a nice scenery which is worth photographing. You can take a little walk around and enjoy the view. I would recommend it.
4 years agoThis was an amazing experience
This was an amazing experience. The sand against the blue sky was so unreal and picturesque for photos. The time we went -10 or 11 am was perfect as there were only a few of us going out at that time. There was a fun bumpy ride on the sand in a huge 4wd bus to get to the dunes. We were given great instructions and headed to the top of the dunes to slide down. It was so much fun and although a bit tiring, we went down multiple times and got great photos and videos. I recommend bringing loootssss of water as it is hot out there. Bring a hat and wear lots of sunscreens! And most of all, enjoy yourself.

Excellent value for money and great morning/afternoon out - suitable for all. We went over the Easter long weekend and it’s busy but absolutely fine. It’s so much fun. The views are to die for, the weather was amazing as well. Definitely recommended.
5 years agoWe had a great time sand boarding
We had a great time sand boarding. When I went to reconfirm the booking, the lady advised us to go at a later time in the afternoon as there were fewer people and we could watch the sunset. I would definitely recommend this company to my friends and family!
