Get ready for a lesson filled with fun, laughter and plenty of stacks, in this 120 minute group surf lesson held at Byron Bay’s Main Beach. Throw your swimmers on and lather up the sunscreen to prepare yourself for a lesson like no other. Whether you're a beginner or a little more advanced, this group lesson is bound to improve your skills in no time. With a maximum class size of six surfers, you can be certain that this group lesson is still intimate enough for you to receive personal help from the instructor.
Spend two hours learning the basics from paddling through to standing up, before catching your first wave with the help of the other group members. Encourage each other and guarantee yourself an experience you'll never forget. With the perfect weather Australia is renowned for, take advantage of it and learn one of most Australian's favourite past time! Book your surf lesson today and prepare yourself for many falls, but a lot of fun!
Lessons operate daily between 9am and 5pm - with extended hours during the summer months - and are suitable for children aged 12 years and over.

- Learn to surf right on Main Beach Byron Bay, within the heart of the beautiful Byron Bay. Main Beach is uniquely home to very few surf schools, leaving you with more time in the water and less time traveling

“ This was one of the best experiences I have ever done! The location was easy to get to, and just a short walk to the beach. The instructor was very informative, patient and encouraging. I would recommend this to all people from novice to intermediate experience in surfing.
First time surfing and loved it. Instructors were focused on trying to help everyone as best they could.
Had my session and loved it. Despite the fact that it was raining and the conditions weren’t great the instructors worked hard to help us all to begin our surfing experience. Sometimes it seemed hard for the instructors to help everyone in the class but I think it was great value for money and gave everyone a taste of surfing.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever done! The location was easy to get to, and just a short walk to the beach. The instructor was very informative, patient and encouraging. I would recommend this to all people from novice to intermediate experience in surfing.

I chose to take a surfing lesson in Byron Bay and it was an amazing experience! The staff was so nice and professional, our instructor gave us very good advice to really enjoy our time and stay safe. The lesson is small group (6 people) allow us to have a good practice and fully enjoy our 2 hours into the water.

Instructor was kind, it was so exciting. I wanna try again next time if I have an opportunity. Although weather was not good, I did. But it was great experience. And thanks to wet suit, I didn’t feel cold. Thank you.
6 years agoWe took the 2 hours group surfing lesson at the Main Beach in Byron Bay (Wreck Surf Shop)
We took the 2 hours group surfing lesson at the Main Beach in Byron Bay (Wreck Surf Shop). The instructor was very friendly and patient with us, even when it took us quite some time to be able to stand up on the board and catch the waves. The instructor also ensured that we were all safe and warned us about many safety precautions before the lesson started. Transport was also provided to-and-fro the surf shop and the beach, with equipments all ready for use. It was definitely a fun session and we can't wait to have more when we visit Byron Bay again. Highly recommended for beginners, and even for those who have tried surfing before! The instructors were very well-trained and professional.

I had a great time on my surf lesson. The surf instructor was dynamic, informative and encouraging and had us all standing up and surfing by the end of the class. I highly recommend this experience!

I had a fabulous time. The staff was so friendly. It was my first time and I really enjoyed it. I was a little worried at the beginning but they explained everything (security, how to surf and give some precious advice). It was a small group (6-7 persons) so you can surf a lot. The weather was pretty good. I would like to do again. Higher recommended.
